President Roosevelt met with Senator Platt and he agreed that U.S. Marshal William Henkel and Collector of Internal Revenue Ferdinand Eidman should support F. Norton Goddard. Roosevelt will also write to Nevada N. Stranahan along the lines suggested by Goddard.
