Assistant Secretary of the Navy Roosevelt informs Secretary of War Alger that he would like to revive football games between Annapolis and West Point and believes there would be support for doing so. Roosevelt discusses his expectations for the participating cadets. Roosevelt asks Alger to write to Oswald H. Ernst if he believes reinstating football games to be favorable.
