Assistant Secretary of the Navy Roosevelt informs Frank Andrew Munsey that he deposited the check after speaking with Crawford about maintaining the copyright of his work. Roosevelt believes he may use the manuscript as a chapter of a book in the future, but does not want it used anywhere other than Munsey’s magazine in the meantime.
