Lillian Capron, President and Treasurer of the Rough Riders’ National Monument Society, confirms receipt of the letter from William Loeb containing a check for one hundred dollars from President Roosevelt to be applied towards the monument fund. She is sorry Roosevelt cannot attend the upcoming drill, but knows the needs of the country come first.
