Letter from James Wilson to Theodore Roosevelt
Secretary of Agriculture Wilson describes the state and national efforts to secure legislation that regulates the manufacture and sale of adulterated foods. The legislation would have widespread support. Wilson believes the public would benefit from the legislation and would be pleased if President Roosevelt would make mention of it in his address to Congress.
