Letter from Jacob Trieber to Theodore Roosevelt

Letter from Jacob Trieber to Theodore Roosevelt

Jacob Trieber agrees with Theodore Roosevelt’s statement in his recent article in The Outlook regarding anti-trust laws and the need for a federal administrative body, similar to the Interstate Commerce Commission, to oversee interstate industrial business. Trieber has served as a federal judge for twelve years and knows first hand that judges do not have the time to thoroughly review the large industrial concerns. Trieber suggests a commission devoted to considering these matters with the Court of Commerce to review the commission’s decisions and asks why it couldn’t be done.
