In the first vignette–“Opportunity No. 1,” President Roosevelt reaches out his hand to shake with the “Florida wild cat.” In the second–“Opportunity No. 2,” Roosevelt chases down the “Florida razor back” with a knife in his right hand and a spear in his left. In the third–“Opportunity No. 3,” Roosevelt holds a “Florida bear” at gunpoint. In the fourth–“Opportunity No. 4,” Roosevelt holds a “warrant” for the “Florida tiger.”

President Roosevelt rides a horse with a knife between his teeth and types on a typewriter. There are papers flying around him: “Liars I have known–$1.00 per word,” “Big game I have killed–$1.00 per word,” “Wild animals and fakes–$1.00 per word,” and “I, as a lion killer–$1.00 per word.” Caption: NOTE–A circus man has offered Theodore Roosevelt $10,000 per word to do stunts in the ring. Mr. Roosevelt also gets $1.00 per word for stories. He could write 10,000 words a week too.

“Laugh and the (N. Y.) World laughs with you. Weep and you weep alone.”

Ohio Senator Joseph Benson Foraker raises an “amendment” toward President Roosevelt. Foraker is behind a small hill that has the sign of “Foraker’s Forte” with a “Brownsville Affair” flag. Roosevelt fires his revolver in his left hand and holds a “special message” sword in his right hand as he says, “Surrender, haul down that flag!!”
