Letter from Rene Lacroix de Vimeur to Theodore Roosevelt
The American events in honor of General Rochambeau, the commander of French forces during the American Revolution, has revived “feelings of old and fraternal sympathies” in France. In return, a bust of George Washington is being sent to President Roosevelt. Rene Lacroix de Vimeur thanks President Roosevelt for the reception he received when visiting the United States in 1902.
