Letter from W. T. Porter to Sanderson

W. T. Porter remembers the case in question well. The accused was charged with keeping a kongoni (hartebeest) in his house. He claimed that the animal wandered in and was seized while he was seeking advice from his master. Porter charged him and cautioned him against repeat offenses.
