Letter from Caroline Eliza Hyatt Pell to Theodore Roosevelt

Caroline Eliza Hyatt Pell is proud that President Roosevelt, whom she knew as “Teddy” as a child, has become President of the United States. Theodore Roosevelt Pell is employed with Farmers Loan and Trust Company, but has no prospects of being able to marry the girl he cares for, as he does not earn enough to support her.
