Edmond Favor Noel has enclosed newspaper clippings highlighting Theodore Roosevelt’s visit to Jackson, Mississippi. He believes the papers sum up the visit in full, and lets Roosevelt know that Senator Williams regrets not being in attendance.

Governor Noel confirms receipt of Theodore Roosevelt’s letter, and will be glad to have him visit and speak at Jackson, Mississippi. The people of McComb City also wish for Roosevelt to give a short speech when he passes through. Noel will be pleased to accompany Roosevelt to Jackson, but may be slightly delayed in doing so, and will join him midway through the journey.

Governor Noel would like Theodore Roosevelt to deliver an address on the topic of his choosing at the Mississippi state capitol during his upcoming visit. Noel will be in Atlanta the day before and will be on the same train as Roosevelt to Jackson. The reception committee would like to know how many people are likely to be in his party.

Governor Noel is sorry that Theodore Roosevelt’s wife Edith and daughter Ethel will not be with him when he visits Mississippi. Noel notes that he is attending the Southern Commercial Congress in Atlanta and will travel part of the way from there with Roosevelt.
