V. H. Lockwood dispels rumors that Indiana Republicans are unanimously supporting Senator Hanna, saying such claims are “decidedly exagerated [sic].” In order to “carry the state,” a candidate must sway the votes of the independents. Lockwood encloses a clipping from the Indianapolis Journal.
