Nicolay Andrew Grevstad, American minister to Uruguay, assures the staff at the American embassy in Rio de Janeiro that an official invitation to visit Uruguay will be extended to Theodore Roosevelt through the legation in Rio. Roosevelt’s party will be met at Rivera, and is expected to arrive in Montevideo by November 4.

Nicolay Andrew Grevstad, American minister to Uruguay, calls a newspaper article from The Buenos Aires Standard, reprinted in The Montevideo Times, “a lying report.” The article, from a “bitterly hostile” newspaper, reported on Theodore Roosevelt’s visit to Montevideo. Grevstad reports favorably on Roosevelt’s visit to Montevideo.
