Cassius E. Gillette reminds Nathan T. Folwell that the Manufactures’ Club was founded to foster a protective tariff and that a new clubhouse would be beneficial. He suggests calling a member meeting to discuss the issues he comments on, including the need to eliminate “bad company” and support the progressive Republicans while bringing them to a correct view of the tariff.
