President Roosevelt has directed A. H. Fox to send the Winchester Repeating Arms Company the necessary shells to be packed with his gun. Fox suggests that they substitute brass shells for paper shells and that the Winchester Repeating Arms Company should assume that Roosevelt is fine with this change unless they hear from him otherwise.

Fox also informs Roosevelt that the Winchester Repeating Arms Company recently released a new type of brass shell that can handle smokeless powder and be crimped. Because these new shells better fit Roosevelt’s requirements, Fox hurries to send some to Roosevelt.
