Charles W. Fillmore informs Theodore Roosevelt that he has applied for a transfer to the office of the Collector of the Port of New York, where Roosevelt’s old secretary, William Loeb, now works. Fillmore explains his reason for wanting such a transfer, and asks Roosevelt to put in a good word with Loeb.
