Letter from Lafayette F. Cornwell to Theodore Roosevelt
Jeweler Lafayette F. Cornwell admires Theodore Roosevelt. He made a “big stick” from his copper claims in the San Isabell U. S. Forest Reserve and set it with Colorado gems and minerals. He presented it to Gifford Pinchot in the trust of Roosevelt at the Irrigation Congress, where it was a “big hit.”
