Butler suggests Roosevelt make it known to Herrick that he does not take this declination personally as Herrick will be a useful Ohio supporter. Butler also suggests that James Speyer be invited to Prince Heinrich of Prussia’s state dinner. Speyer has considerable influence and is familiar to Prince Heinrich.
