Letter from William A. Bell to Theodore Roosevelt
William A. Bell, a former member of the Rough Riders, encloses a $150 check to pay off an old loan given to him by President Roosevelt. On behalf of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Bell tried to make arrangements with Senator Alfred B. Kittredge for Roosevelt to attend a reception but Kittredge explained that there was only time for a brief stop.
