Theodore Roosevelt received Corrine Roosevelt Robinson’s messages. He and Edith Kermit Carow Roosevelt are pleased to be grandparents. Robert Bridges told him about the acceptance of Corrine’s second poem and its “power and purpose.” Bridges regards it as one “written about and for those who have toiled and…have known defeat and triumph.”

Anna Roosevelt Cowles congratulates her brother, Theodore Roosevelt, on the recent birth of a grandchild, and hopes that the news from Roosevelt’s son, Ted Roosevelt and Eleanor Butler Roosevelt, is still good. She appreciated getting Roosevelt’s recent letter, and tells him of the efforts of their joint nephew, Theodore Douglas Robinson, to get into politics. Cowles hopes to be able to visit Roosevelt sometime before winter.

She has heard that Roosevelt intends to travel abroad after next March, and hopes that he can spare some time to visit her and her husband Henry Bazeley Wolryche-Whitmore.
