Letter from Victor L. Berger to Theodore Roosevelt
Victor L. Berger of the Milwaukee Social-Democratic Publishing Company encloses a letter and check claiming to be sent by President Roosevelt ordering books on socialism. Although the company is informed that the accompanying check is genuine, Berger returns the check and sends the literature anyway, along with a recommended reading order. Berger hopes that the reading will inform Roosevelt better about socialism.
