Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Mary Noailles Murfree

President Roosevelt wishes he had been able to see Mary Noailles Murfree on his recent trip to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, so he could tell her how much he and his family have enjoyed her books. Roosevelt feels like some of the people he met on his bear hunt could have walked out of her stories. Roosevelt wonders if Murfree will be in Washington, D.C., this winter and invites her to dine at the White House.
