S. S. McNinch asks Theodore Roosevelt to avoid more declarations about the presidency, and to allow his supporters to force him to accept the nomination. McNinch has heard Democrats state that Roosevelt is the only man who can to handle the trusts and that they will support him as well. McNinch begs Roosevelt to not act irrevocably.

Mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina, S. S. McNinch, sends the resolutions of the Twentieth of May Celebration Committee to William Loeb that he had hoped to have President Roosevelt review. However, with the President already out of the city he feels he cannot leave the matter open any longer so is sending it express. He also thanks Loeb and the President for their friendship and interest in the southern country.
