Standard of honors for the Camp Fire Club of American which lists big game animals from Africa divided into Honor and High Honor classifications. To be considered for an honor, applicants must submit proof and a committee will consider will take into consideration the difficulties overcome, any risk involved, the rarity of the species, and the location the animal was killed.

President Roosevelt encloses the revised lists of supplies for Frederick Courteney Selous. He discusses his reasoning behind the revisions and provides Selous with his travel itinerary. Gerrit Forbes recently visited Roosevelt and recounted his recent hunt in Africa. Roosevelt is reluctant to hire a white man for the trip but will do so if Selous suggests it.

Emlyn M. Gill thanks Theodore Roosevelt for his suggestions. Gill informs Roosevelt that he will send him a small, bound volume of certificates awarded to Roosevelt by the Camp Fire Club the year before. Roosevelt won the awards for feats he performed during his African safari.
