Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to William F. King
Theodore Roosevelt thanks William F. King and his organization for the work they have done on the silk fraud cases and encloses a letter from Attorney General Knox. Roosevelt especially praises Mr. Smith and informs King that they will be able to pay Smith “the usual compensation” usually afforded to private attorneys, rather than the smaller compensation paid by the government.
