Roosevelt got a new horse and has been playing a lot of tennis. Roosevelt describes the birds he sees on his walks. He adds that he is satisfied that everyone enjoyed their trip to Havana.

The bay horse has been returned to George W. Ryder’s stables because he is “utterly useless” in his current state. It is frightened of automobiles and cars and cannot be ridden around the neighborhood.

President Roosevelt insists he needs a quiet horse and jokes with W. Sloan Simpson if he plays “any games” with Roosevelt, “there will be a break-up in the entire republican party!” The president informs Simpson he cannot make any definite plans for his vacation until after Congress convenes, but will let Simpson know directly.

Advertisement for Australian horse trainer O. B. Milburn’s appearance during the upcoming Great Bull Fight in Akron, Ohio. Milburn is known for taming “the most wicked, savage, man-eating stallions or mad bulls.” Additionally, S. J. Sidney will jump a horse into a lake. There is also a gentlemen’s bicycle race.
