In reply to Noel W. Barksdale’s letter to Colonel W. H. Crook, William Loeb informs him that he would be pleased to add the names of Barksdale and his wife, Florence Evelyn May Barksdale, to the guest list of the reception of January 18.

Henry Edward Rood asks Theodore Roosevelt for a handwritten note to frame and display next to his portrait, which will hang in the main entrance hall of the Pleasantville High School in New York. He does not understand why the article about W. H. Crook’s recollections has been delayed.

Captain Archibald Willingham Butt confirms that he will have two replacement men by the time William Loeb returns to Oyster Bay, as per Loeb’s earlier memorandum. Nelson P. Webster also notes that Colonel W. H. Crook will send a report on the sorrel and bay teams.
