Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Crazy Snake
President Roosevelt reminds Crazy Snake, also known as Wilson Jones, that the majority of the Creek Nation voted for the June 30, 1902, agreement under which the government is currently settling the affairs of the tribe. Crazy Snake’s band represents a small minority of the tribe, and they must be bound by the majority’s decision.
