Letter from J. R. Fukushima to Theodore Roosevelt

On behalf of the Japanese Association of Fresno, J. R. Fukushima welcomes Theodore Roosevelt to the west, and expresses the association’s regret that Roosevelt will not be able to visit Fresno during his present tour. Fukushima sends Roosevelt a picture of the parade float which the association made for the 1910 Independence Day celebrations, as well as newspaper clippings about the event.

Meyer Lissner sends Edward Augustus Dickson a letter which he hopes Dickson will publicize in order to help Daniel A. Ryan’s election chances in San Francisco. Lissner also tells Dickson that Los Angeles Republicans have been building support for William Howard Taft’s presidential run by passing resolutions in support of both Theodore Roosevelt and Taft.
