Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to William D. Murphy
President Roosevelt confidentially tells William D. Murphy that he does not want to seem at all to be connected with the work of the Roosevelt Home Club. He does not feel comfortable with the attempts to buy and conserve the house and prefers that any further endeavors be halted after this year’s banquet.
