Theodore Roosevelt writes to his sister Anna about the possibility of renting out the Sagamore Hill property. The costs to maintain it have been prohibitive and Roosevelt is looking for a way to decrease his expenses. He and Edith are enjoying their honeymoon in Italy and he thanks Anna for the gifts she sent.

Theodore Roosevelt tells his sister Anna that he is now reconsidering selling Sagamore Hill, although he is still very concerned with expenses. He is corresponding with Douglas Robinson about it. Roosevelt would consider leaving New York because he does not think he has a political future.
