Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Elihu Root
President Roosevelt has received the cables Secretary of State Root sent from Ambassador to Turkey John George Alexander Leishman regarding the American College for Girls in Constantinople. He suggests that Root try to show the missionaries “the folly of which they have been guilty.”
