Letter from Secretary of Theodore Roosevelt to James Yereance
Theodore Roosevelt’s secretary informs James Yereance that Roosevelt has been so overwhelmed by work he has been unable to respond to all the letters that have come in, and the letter form Yereance only came to his attention after the memorial service had been held. Roosevelt could not have complied with the request to send a message as if he replied to this one, many more such requests would come in.
