Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Mrs. C. B. Bleakley
Theodore Roosevelt cannot accept Mrs. C. B. Bleakley’s invitation to speak. Roosevelt receives thousands of similar invitations but has been unable to accept “one in a hundred” of them. Every speaking engagement takes a great toll upon Roosevelt and to accept more would make it impossible for him to accomplish any other work.
