Theodore Roosevelt tells Martha Berry that he will write the article after he speaks at the Berry School on April 21, 1911. The Berry School invitation is the only one Roosevelt is accepting, due to his high regard for the organization.

Martha Berry’s letter to Frank Harper has arrived, but Harper accompanied Theodore Roosevelt on his Western trip and is therefore out of the office. Harper is expected to return to New York on September 11, at which time he will immediately be given Berry’s letter.

Karl V. S. Howland assures Martha Berry that Theodore Roosevelt will not accept any invitations that would interfere with his planned visit to the Berry School, but will bring her letter to his attention when he returns from his current trip. Howland apologizes that the invitation list he previously mentioned has since been destroyed and cannot be replaced without difficulty, but promises to send Berry any desirable names that occur to him.
