John O’Connor tells Theodore Roosevelt about a pamphlet he wrote titled, “? and ‘, or, A Treatise on the Origin of Self” and the social revolution he has been pushing for across the eastern United States. O’Connor presents his views on many topics including, religion, Martians, women’s suffrage, and the importance of “Service for Service’s Sake.” Most importantly, O’Connor is writing to Roosevelt to propose himself as the 1912 Republican presidential candidate. O’Connor says he is, “essentially a Christian, a Martian, and…worth a consideration.”
