Letter from Delia R. Powers to Theodore Roosevelt

Delia R. Powers, a widow working in the Boston Custom House, asks Theodore Roosevelt to help her get a raise so that she can support her young son. In 1905, Cardinal James Gibbons wrote Roosevelt on her behalf in an attempt to get her transferred to the postal service.
