O. L. Harrell, along with every Republican and lots of Democrats, will celebrate if Theodore Roosevelt takes the nomination. He discusses the public’s opinion of Taft, whom he feels has done nothing for the rank and file and has caused contention in the Republican Party. If Roosevelt does not get or accept the nomination, then Harrell hopes he will help someone else, such as Senator Albert J. Beveridge, win. He does not want to withstand another Democratic administration.
