Mason Mitchell, U.S. consul in Zanzibar, used a leave of absence to visit Mount Kilimanjaro. His doctor had recommended a change of climate after an attack of malaria, and the trip did him good. He is sending President Roosevelt a box of mounted horns which are trophies from his hunting expeditions at Mount Kilimanjaro. He visits with Count Gustav von Götzen, Governor of German East Africa, and he hopes that the U.S. government will take action in a case involving U.S. citizen Dr. B. F. Wilson, who is living in Anjouan, an island in the Comoros.
