George F. Lee gives his consent for President Roosevelt to show the letter to whomever he desires, excluding John Mitchell and the United Mine Workers of America. Lee has been informed by one of Mitchell’s presidents that if Mitchell gives the order there will be no interference with efforts to save the property.
