Juan Orts Gonzalez responds to a statement by Theodore Roosevelt criticizing the Y.M.C.A. for not granting Catholics the same privileges as it does Protestants. Gonzalez feels that both arms should be granted equal privileges as long as they both pledge themselves to uphold the same Christian values. He writes, however, about the many ways he sees Catholics not doing this in other areas of life.
