Theodore Roosevelt tells Henry L. Stimson that Daniel Rhodes Hanna, Walter F. Brown and company are trying to attach Roosevelt to the ongoing suit against the United States Steel Corporation with the purpose of having it look like the corporation is supporting Roosevelt for president. Roosevelt tells Stimson that he gathered this information from a letter from Charles Dewey Hilles and that Roosevelt is sending the letter to Elihu Root who will show Stimson the next time they meet.
