Theodore Roosevelt has spoken to many people, who all agree that he should not go to the encampment. Outside of Massachusetts, there is not much support for his going. Roosevelt also feels that if he goes, he must speak, which would “bring a deluge of invitations from elsewhere” for him to speak.
