Corinne Roosevelt Robinson, unbeknownst to her husband Douglas Robinson, asks President Roosevelt if it would be possible for him to attend the dedication of a “little Memorial Library to Mr. & Mrs. Robinson” in Jordanville, NY (now the Jordanville Public Library). Many more trains are available to make the trip than before. She says it is Douglas Robinson’s dearest wish, but he will not ask Roosevelt himself as he feels Roosevelt is already too busy. She understands if Roosevelt is unable to attend.

Corinne Roosevelt Robinson writes to her brother President Roosevelt to tell him about her experience at the Republican National Convention in Chicago, Illinois. She was struck by the spontaneous outpouring of support for Roosevelt during the convention. Robinson was glad that former Secretary of War William H. Taft, who Roosevelt chose as his successor, was chosen by the convention; she sees it as an endorsement of Roosevelt. She sends Roosevelt an article written by William Allen White, who she sat near during the convention.

If Roosevelt is seriously considering attending the Army vs. Navy football game, Princeton University’s Ivy Club would gladly entertain him. Robinson thinks it would be lovely if Roosevelt could visit Princeton as he did Harvard and Yale.
