Governor Odell discusses the possibility of a vacancy in the Shipping Commission in New York, if Captain Joseph Dickey is confirmed as a Railroad Commissioner. Odell would like to discuss this and other appointments with President Roosevelt. The recent death of Odell’s sister has caused him to cancel all his social engagements, allowing him to visit Washington, D.C., as early as February 10.
