Letter from Olga Nethersole to Theodore Roosevelt
Olga Nethersole invites President Roosevelt to her theater production of “The Writing on the Wall” at the Columbia Theater in Washington, D.C. The play is a critique of corrupt and exploitative Trinity Church Corporation which owns slums in New York, and Nethersole believes its message aligns with Roosevelt’s own opinions. Nethersole will send him a copy of the script ahead of his attendance.
