For the edification of his countrymen, he asks permission to publish a book entitled La Mente di un Uomo di Stato Americano, which translates to The Mind of a Man in the United States. The book would excerpt Roosevelt’s writings and include a biographical sketch of Roosevelt along with Mayor des Planches’s notes to elucidate for the Italian reader any “data and facts which he may ignore.”
