Letter from Mary Leontine Roosevelt Leaycraft to Theodore Roosevelt
President Roosevelt’s cousin, Mary Leontine Roosevelt Leaycraft, encloses a letter from Edith Stowe, the grand niece of the late William H. Perot, head of shipping firm Perot, Son & Co. In the letter, Stowe appeals for appointment to a government position. Leaycraft adds that her son will vote for Roosevelt in 1904.
