Letter from Frederick A. La Belle to Theodore Roosevelt
At the suggestion of Reverend Giovanni Genocchi, Frederick A. La Belle requests assistance from Theodore Roosevelt in securing a government position, be it to the United States Secret Service, or as a courier to foreign embassies and consulates. He is sure that his “natural and inherent ability” qualifies him for either position, and would be glad to refer Roosevelt to his references “occupying responsible posts in the commercial and financial world” in regard to his personal qualifications.
