G. P. Putnam’s Sons sends a set of the standard library edition (8 volumes) of President Roosevelt’s works. Some of the volumes are available on their own. The publisher explains they sent the library set because of the more elaborate binding. If Roosevelt does not want a portion of the set, he can send them back, against their normal policy.

G. P. Putnam’s Sons apologizes to George B. Cortelyou for sending him two copies of Part II of “The Naval War of 1812” by Theodore Roosevelt. They have now mailed a copy of Part I.

G. P. Putnam’s Sons apologizes for publishing a few copies of President Roosevelt’s The Wilderness Hunter without a preface. A “perfect copy” is being sent to Roosevelt.

The New York Journal has just printed “a sensational account” describing the preparation of an elaborate copy of one of President Roosevelt’s books. G. P. Putnam’s Sons has written to the New York Journal and informed them that the account is entirely false.

G. P. Putnam’s Sons has explained to Louis N. Hammerling that they do not publish translations but will work with foreign language publishers to produce translations. Hammerling is seeking to translate some of President Roosevelt’s works into Polish and is responsible for finding a suitable Polish publisher.
